As a Speech@NYU student, you’ll be assigned a clinical field placement specialist who will help you identify qualified externship sites in or near your community. Whether your externships take place in a hospital, private practice, or another setting, you will gain diverse clinical experience by working with clients experiencing a variety of communicative disorders. Throughout each practicum, you will be supervised by an experienced, licensed speech-language pathologist who will help you develop your professional skills.
